Conditions at Levi Stadium ahead of the 49ers vs. Colts won’t make life any easier for San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Jimmy Garoppolo is already fighting against the tide in San Francisco with calls for Trey Lance to replace him.
On Sunday night, he’ll have to fight the weather as well.
Horrendous weather for 49ers-Colts is the last thing Jimmy Garoppolo needs
A major storm hit the Santa Clara area before kickoff, producing gusting wind and horrible conditions for playing football.

Video from the parking lot is even more insane.
I just arrived in Santa Clara and it is a sloppy mess - rain and 20mph winds. Fans at Levi’s Stadium are in for quite the ride - literally if you happen to be in a porta potty when the wind blows. 49ers vs Colts kicks off at 5:20pm. @kron4news #49ers pic.twitter.com/aGQG2H0wsi

Even Tom Brady would struggle to put the ball in the air under those conditions. Whatever the over/under on passes completed is, the under should be an easy pick for this one.
Garoppolo is competing for his job every time he steps on the field. Every game is an opportunity to prove himself or push the 49ers one step closer to going with Lance full time.
The veteran quarterback doesn’t have to worry about the rookie breathing down his neck this time around. Lance is inactive with an injury. That may be for the best for Lance since the passing game isn’t likely to thrive against the Colts with this weather.
Indianapolis quarterback Carson Wentz has been through his own NFL nightmare. Week 7 could be a struggle for him as well.
One thing is certain, the running backs should see a lot of the ball this week with both the Colts and 49ers seeking their third victory of the season.
