Watch: Jets’ Zach Wilson goes down with apparent leg injury

Some concerning news has come in for the New York Jets, as quarterback Zach Wilson went down with what looks to be a knee injury. 

In what’s been a terrible year for the New York Jets, there’s now plenty of worry surrounding the health of quarterback Zach Wilson. In the middle of the showdown with the New England Patriots on Sunday, Wilson went down after taking a big hit.

He was immediately seen in plenty of pain on the turf, grabbing his knee. Wilson was able to limp off, but he’s left the game to go back to the locker room for further treatment.

Zach Wilson is questionable to return with a knee injury

Shortly after Wilson went down with his injury, the Jets came out and announced that Wilson suffered the knee injury and that he’s questionable to return for this one against New England. With Wilson out of action, backup signal-caller Mike White has taken over the offense.

Obviously, countless folks in New York and New Jersey are worried about Wilson’s knee. He’s the quarterback of the future for this team. With that said, it’s also been a rough start to his NFL career, as Wilson has thrown for only four touchdowns and a concerning nine interceptions this campaign.

Those turnovers have been frustrating to see, but Wilson is only six games into things. The hope was that he’d be able to continue to work on some things the rest of the season and make some improvements to his game. It surely would give fans some excitement for what this team might be able to accomplish down the road. Now, though, we must wait and see just how serious this knee injury is for the first-year player.
