Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will be out for Thursday Night Football in Week 8, as he has been placed on the COVID list.

The Green Bay Packers will not have wide receiver Davante Adams for Thursday Night Football.

Green Bay released on their team website on Monday afternoon that the No. 1 wide receiver has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. While the Packers are not allowed to comment on a player’s medical status per the NFLPA, Adams will not be playing in Green Bay’s next game. It is such a quick turnaround, as the Packers will face the undefeated Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.

While Green Bay has won six games in a row, the Cardinals are the only team in the NFL to not lose a single game through the firs seven weeks.

Davante Adams has been ruled out for TNF after testing positive for COVID-19

This is devastating news for the Packers. While Green Bay has a great team outside of Adams, the Packers were really going to need him if they wanted to beat the best team in the NFL in their place on a short week. Green Bay also could be without their defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who also tested positive for COVID-19 after Sunday’s easy victory over the Washington Football Team.

The Packers now have roughly three days to adjust to not having Adams available for Thursday.
