JJ Watt had the perfect tweet after the Arizona Cardinals’ Week 7 win over the Houston Texans.

JJ Watt may be the greatest player in Houston Texans franchise history, but he now plays on the best team in football in the 7-0 Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona stayed perfect by defeating Watt’s former team handily on Sunday to the tune of 31-5. Though the Texans were a very competitive team when Watt was leading their defense in his prime, Houston has fallen on hard times. They have lost six games in a row after beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. Houston will be in the mix for the No. 1 overall pick in 2022.

So what made Watt’s post-Cardinals win tweet so awesome? It showed he and his former Texans teammate DeAndre Hopkins walking off the State Farm Stadium turf at a cool 7-0.

As the old adage goes, living well is the best revenge.

To say the Texans went to hell in a hand basket since being up big on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 AFC Divisional round game would be a gross understatement. That was Hopkins’ last game in Texans uniform. The team imploded in 2020, so much so that Watt was released by the only team he had ever played for. Now persona non grata Deshaun Watson is about to be traded.

What this tweet signifies is that things get better, no matter how bleak they are in the moment. Houston was a bad place to be last season. Though many people questioned why Watt picked the Cardinals over teams like the Buffalo Bills, the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in his free agency, he made the best decision for himself personally and professionally in Arizona.

The Cardinals have so much of their season ahead of them, but this win will mean a lot for Watt.
