Browns: Myles Garrett held on Teddy Bridgewater scramble

5.5 seconds. That’s how long Myles Garrett was held on a Teddy Bridgewater scramble before the Broncos offensive lineman finally let go of his jersey. Garrett is one of the elite defensive lineman in the NFL, and can make an opposing quarterback’s day a living hell. There is no stopping Garrett — only containing him.

Quarterback scrambles are often the byproduct of missed holding calls. In fact, as most NFL officials will tell you, there is holding on nearly every play in the professional ranks. It’s just a matter of if they catch it live or not.

In this case, the officiating crew did not see Garrett being held, despite the fact that he was pretty clearly impeded.
