Dusty Baker already revealed half of Astros World Series starting pitchers

The Astros have nothing to hide in regards to their Games 1-3 starters for the World Series, as Dusty Baker revealed that info on Tuesday.
Houston’s pitching has been electric this postseason, and despite the absence of ace Lance McCullers, expect the Astros to be a tough out once again vs the Braves lineup.
Houston will turn to Framber Valdez in Game 1. The former $10,000 international signee has molded himself into a World Series-opening pitcher, and it’s been well-earned.
“For me, it’s an honor,” Valdez said Monday. “It’s a privilege to be the starter…It’s something I never thought about, to be honest, as a kid. I didn’t know what it meant, but when I started getting involved in baseball and realizing how impactful it was for youth just on and off the field, that’s when I started dying, wishing to be part of the postseason, to be part of the team, and obviously to be an opener and to be a starter in the World Series.”
Astros: Who is starting Games 2 and 3?
Baker will turn to Jose Urquidy in Game 2, as he will face off against young Braves pitcher Max Fried. Urquidy’s last time out didn’t go so well, as he allowed six runs in under two innings of work against Boston. Dusty still has confidence in him, however.
“It means a lot for me for sure. It’s going to be a big game for me for the team. I know that I have to win,” Urquidy said through a translator. “My last outing was for sure bad, I know, but there’s good days and bad days. I’m excited to compete, and I know that a lot of people are watching me for sure.”
Rookie Luis Garcia, who was downright unhittable his last time out against Boston, will get the ball for Game 3. It’s tough to argue with Baker’s reasoning there, as Garcia allowed just one hit in just under six innings of work.
