It’s a lot of pressure to be asked to sing the national anthem at the World Series.
The 2021 World Series between the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves is getting underway on Tuesday with Game 1 from Minute Maid Park.
And one of the best moments of any World Series is the national anthem, especially if it’s well done.
That was the case tonight, but who was it belting out the song before the game?
Who sang the national anthem at the World Series tonight?
Singing the national anthem ahead of Game 1 was Emmy-winning actress and (obviously) musically talented artist Keke Palmer. And she definitely crushed it with a jaw-dropping performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner” that earned every cheer from the crowd in Houston.
Who’s singing the national anthem for the World Series, Game 2?
The World Series Game 2 singer for the national anthem in Houston has also already been announced. Rather than a performer and/or celebrity, we’ll have a U.S. Military veteran taking the microphone.
On Wednesday night for the second game of the series, it’ll be U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Giavanni Walker who will be singing before the sellout crowd at Minute Maid Park.

Let’s hope that the rest of the games can live up to the high bar set by Palmer.
