5 bold predictions for Seahawks against Jaguars
The Seattle Seahawks are in desperate need of a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend, as the team currently stands at 2-5 on the year.
A season that had so much promise has become an absolute nightmare for the Seattle Seahawks. The team is five games back of the NFC West lead, standing at 2-5 on the year after the tough loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
This week, the Seahawks have a chance to record a much-needed win, as they’ll be taking on the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. Will they be able to get things done? We have five bold predictions for this contest, which includes what could be a game to remember for the ground game.
Our 5 bold predictions for Jaguars-Seahawks this weekend
5. RB Alex Collins rushes for two touchdowns
In addition to the injury for Russell Wilson, the Seahawks have also had to deal with the loss of star running back Chris Carson. Carson has been out since Week 4 due to a neck injury and there’s no timetable for his return. With Carson out, it’s been clear that Alex Collins is the go-to option for the ground game.
While Collins isn’t known for being a star running back in the league, he’s still had some strong showings for Seattle and showed flashes at times against the Saints on Monday night. In order for Seattle to take down Jacksonville, they’ve got to get the ground game going.
This will take some pressure off of Geno Smith, who has made it clear he can’t shoulder everything on his right arm. With the Hawks feeding Collins, we think he could end up recording a two-score game in this one. That’d of course be great news for his fantasy owners.
