After a 2-5 start, let’s look at three trades that the Seattle Seahawks can make to get back into the playoff picture.

The Seattle Seahawks are off to a disappointing 2-5 start. Fortunately, there are still ten games left in the NFL regular season, and they are well-positioned to make moves at the trade deadline. According to Over The Cap, the Seahawks have $13.29 million in available cap space. Let’s break down three trades the Seahawks can make to get back into the playoff picture.

3. Austin Blythe for 2022 seventh-round pick

This season, the Seahawks’ quarterbacks have been pressured on 28.9% of their dropbacks, which is the second-highest mark in the NFL. The Seahawks’ pass protection will need to improve if they want to make a playoff run.

Austin Blythe has been a solid, versatile interior offensive lineman throughout his career. His best season came in 2018 with the Los Angeles Rams, in which he had a PFF grade of 76.4.

Blythe has not played a single snap for the Chiefs this season. He has been buried on the Chiefs’ depth chart. Second-round pick Creed Humphrey is starting at center, and Joe Thuney and Trey Smith are locked in as the two starting guards. So, the Chiefs should be willing to move him at the trade deadline.

Kyle Fuller is Seattle’s center, right now, and he has started all seven games. He currently has a PFF pass block grade of 45.0, which is 33rd out of 36 qualifying centers.

Blythe can be an immediate upgrade on the interior offensive line for the Seahawks, and he could play at either center or guard.
