Jacksonville Jaguars: Bills’ DT Vernon Butler

The Jaguars are having another lost season, but there’s reason for optimism as rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence is experiencing old-fashioned rookie growing pains. Their offense is actually pretty set with playmakers: James Robinson is a stud, Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault make for a nice receiving combo, and recently acquired tight end Dan Arnold is expected to make an impact.

The defense is where Jacksonville has especially been struggling this season. They’re 17th in the league against the run and have a brutally low 3.79 sack percentage. Beefing up the defensive line may be in their best interest.

Vernon Butler has become a healthy inactive for Buffalo this season as he’s fallen down the depth chart in his second season with the Bills. He’s been a run-stuffer and a solid piece so far in his career, so he’d be a welcomed addition to the Jags’ defensive line unit.
