The Houston Astros have to lineup without a DH in Game 3 of the World Series against the Braves. So what did Dusty Baker do with Yordan Alvarez?

The Astros are riding high after an emphatic win in Game 2 of the World Series.

Now manager Dusty Baker has to deal with a new strategic element that could change the complexion of the series. What to do with the DH?

Now that the series has moved to the Braves‘ NL ballpark, Baker can’t deploy Yordan Alvarez in the DH role.

Astros lineup: Yordan Alvarez starts in outfield for Game 3

Jose Siri started Game 2 in center field in place of Chas McCormick because of left pitcher Max Fried. Both will give way in Atlanta to accommodate Alvarez in the outfield. Alvarez will start Game 3 in left field with Kyle Tucker in center and Michael Brantley shifting from left to right.

The Astros are hoping to take a lead in the series after evening things up on Wednesday night. They’ll have to get through Braves starter Ian Anderson with Luis Garcia taking the mound for Houston.

Anderson is 1-0 this postseason with an ERA of 3.58. Garcia was pulled after 2.2 innings in the ALDS against the White Sox, though Houston went on to win that game. He pitched 6.2 innings in a win over the Red Sox in the ALCS. This will be his first World Series appearance.
