Georgia football commit Gunner Stockton passed Trevor Lawrence for the most career touchdown passes in Georgia high school history.
One of Trevor Lawrence’s high school records has officially fallen, as Georgia football commit Gunner Stockton completed his 162 career touchdown pass for Rabun County on Friday night.
Before having an unbelievable career at nearby Clemson, Lawrence was a high school standout in his native Cartersville. While he is doing his best to try to figure it out at the NFL level with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Stockton is gearing up to playing on fall Saturdays Between the Hedges for his home state’s Georgia Bulldogs. The four-star commit is expected to enroll early come January.
Here is the one-yard touchdown pass that put Stockton forever ahead of Lawrence in Georgia high school football lore.
Georgia football commit Gunner Stockton just break a Trevor Lawrence record
According to the 247Sports Composite, Stockton is the No. 4 player from Georgia, the No. 6 quarterback prospect in the nation and the No. 61 overall recruit in the 2022 class. Stockton initially committed to South Carolina in August 2020, but a change in coaching staff led to him flipping to Georgia in January 2021. Georgia will have a deep quarterback room upon his arrival.
The underrated Stockton looks to go from high school phenom to an SEC legend here soon.
