With Michigan’s 37-33 loss to Michigan State on Saturday, what is head coach Jim Harbaugh’s record against the Spartans?
The Michigan Wolverines looked as though they were going to coast to a victory over the in-state rival Michigan State Spartans. They did have a 30-14 lead in the third quarter. Yet, it was the Spartans who left Saturday’s game with the 37-33 victory.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh is known for his lack of wins against top-ranked programs. But what is his record against the Spartans while coaching the Wolverines?
What’s Jim Harbaugh’s record vs. Michigan State?
Since becoming the head coach for Michigan, Harbaugh carries a 3-4 record against Michigan State. His last win came in 2019, where they blew out the Spartans 44-10.
Harbaugh has had no luck against the Spartans once the program hired Mel Tucker as their head coach. Last year, the Wolverines lost 27-24 to the Spartans. Now with the loss on Tuesday, Harbaugh is now 0-2 against Tucker.
It is now two years and counting without the Paul Bunyan Trophy for Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
