Michigan vs. Michigan State may go down as one of the best games of the entire 2021 college football season. The Spartans managed to bounce back from a 30-14 deficit and take the 37-33 win over the Wolverines. Michigan State clinched the victory on the final play of the game, as cornerback Charles Brantley intercepted a pass from Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara intended for tight end Luke Schoonmaker.

Michigan State defeats Michigan to keep undefeated season intact

This interception occurred after the Spartans forced a turnover on downs, before having to punt it back to the Wolverines on a three-and-out. Two plays after the punt, the Spartans defense picked off McNamara to take the “W.”

Plenty of credit goes to the dominant performance of Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III, who showed why he should be in consideration for the Heisman Trophy. Walker carried the ball 23 times in the game, where he picked up 197 yards and scored a staggering five touchdowns.

What a victory by Michigan State, as they keep their undefeated season alive. Now, the Spartans will look to earn their ninth win of the season next weekend when they face the Purdue Boilermakers. You can expect the Spartans to climb up the AP Top 25 rankings in the coming hours.
