Let’s get to the bottom of all these Quinn Ewers transfer rumors to settle down Ohio State football fans who are concerned the freshman phenom could be leaving Columbus before even playing a game.

Quinn Ewers came to Ohio State a year early but could he be thinking about leaving Columbus before even appearing in a game for the Buckeyes?

This week has seen some transfer rumors erupt based on the Twitter activity of Ewers.

Ewers, who came to Ohio State after bypassing his senior year of high school, changed his Twitter bio to remove a mention of Ohio State. That was noticed by Michigan football fans who seemingly were more obsessed with the rival they can’t beat than the game vs. undefeated Michigan State on Saturday.

This led to a ton of social media activity and message board comments wondering about the future of last year’s No. 1 recruit who has a Trevor Lawrence and Vince Young ceiling.

Ohio State has a good problem on their hands with so many talented quarterbacks so the notion one or two could ultimately transfer isn’t a shocker. However, it didn’t seem like Ewers would ever be the one to transfer out. Was his Twitter activity a sign of his displeasure about being at Ohio State or much ado about nothing?

Well, it’s definitely closer to much ado about nothing, because the Ohio State mention is back in his Twitter bio, so we can all calm down.

Ewers was never going to play this year barring multiple injuries so don’t read too much into whether he’s traveling with the team on road games or not. This is a redshirt year for the player who should be a high school senior. Ewers may see some action next year behind C.J. Stroud who will be draft-eligible that year and he will be in position to take over as the Ohio State quarterback in 2023.
