Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day urged Buckeyes fans to recreate the atmosphere from 2019 when they last played Penn State at the Horseshoe.
With Ohio State football back in the Top 5, the Buckeyes have a huge opportunity on Saturday when they play Penn State.
One of Michigan and Michigan State will lose their rivalry game. A win for Ohio State would keep them in the driver’s seat for the Big Ten title and the College Football Playoff.
So head coach Ryan Day is doing everything he can to give his team an advantage.
Ryan Day said the crowd at Ohio Stadium was “unbelievable” when the Buckeyes last hosted Penn State in 2019. “If we can replicate that again, that would be huge for us.”

Ohio State is planning a “scarlet out” for the primetime game.
Ryan Day wants Ohio State football fans to party like it’s 2019
Day sent a message to Ohio State fans, telling them to show up at the Horseshoe with the intent of making the Nittany Lions as uncomfortable as possible as they did in 2019 by producing an “unbelievable” atmosphere.
“If we can replicate that again, that would be huge for us,” Day said per Joey Kaufman of The Columbus Dispatch.
In 2019, the No. 2 Buckeyes survived a challenge from the No. 9 Nittany Lions to maintain their undefeated record. The circumstances aren’t exactly the same this year but there is just as much on the line.
