Tua Tagovailoa’s trade value is crashing, just like the Miami Dolphins’ season

Face it. The Miami Dolphins stink and so does their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. After eking out a Week 1 victory over the division rival New England Patriots, the Dolphins have lost seven games in a row. Head coach Brian Flores is on the hot seat and Tagovailoa is looking more and more like a left-handed Sam Bradford with every passing week. Just end the season in Miami.

Though Miami was not likely to beat the division rival Buffalo Bills up in Orchard Park, a 26-11 showing signifies that the Dolphins need to clean house this offseason. Tagovailoa completed 21-of-39 passes for 205 yards and a pick. Even if he had a rushing touchdown, he was outplayed by what a true NFL franchise quarterback looks like in the Bills’ superstar signal-caller Josh Allen.

With Miami being in the Deshaun Watson trade rumors throughout, it is almost certainly over for Tagovailoa in South Beach. Of the three quarterbacks taken in the top 10 in 2020, he is clearly third behind Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers. While Burrow and Herbert flourish on their AFC teams, Miami has to move on from Tagovailoa.

The sooner the Dolphins’ disaster of a football season ends, the better it will be for everyone.
