5 quarterbacks Saints can add to replace Jameis Winston
By Byron Smith
Who can lead the Saints during Jameis Winston’s absence?
After a nasty injury to Jameis Winston, the New Orleans Saints are likely going to be in the market for a replacement quarterback for the rest of the season. Trevor Siemian seemed competent enough to squeak out the 36-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccanneers, but his ceiling is quite low and the Saints want to compete this season.
Who is still available for the Saints to grab to help fill that role on the team? Are there any potential trade targets they should try and make a move for before Tuesday?
These three possible additions could be quality replacements.

5. Cam Newton – Free Agent
Cam Newton and the New Orleans Saints seem like a marriage made in heaven.
Newton remains a free agent after being cut by the New England Patriots as they pared down to the 53-man roster. A former MVP and Panthers legend, Newton has more than earned another shot at playing in this league.
Is he perfect? No. He definitely showed some digression last year with the Patriots, although that can partially be chalked up to playing in a system that was not built for him. Newton also may be jockeying for a long-term deal, which is not something the Saints could give him in this situation.
However, he is a competitor and one that will make sure New Orleans stays competitive.
