With speculation of a Damian Lillard-Ben Simmons trade still out there, 76ers fans made it clear to the Trail Blazers guard how they feel.

As the Philadelphia 76ers have been trying to acquiesce Ben Simmons by trading him throughout the past few months, one common potential player to come back in the deal has been brought up more often than most: Damian Lillard.

It just so happens that Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers were in Philadelphia on Monday night. And the 76ers fans made sure to let the guard know how they felt about him and a potential trade that would send him to Philly.

While Lillard was at the charity stripe, the fans in Wells Fargo Arena loudly serenaded him with a chant of “We want Lillard!”

Damian Lillard trade to 76ers would clearly make the fans happy

Though Lillard recently stated in a freestyle a stance against joining a super-team and has maintained for a while that he wants to stay in Portland, this still remains interesting.

Simmons would be a nicer fit with the likes of C.J. McCollum and the Trail Blazers roster than he is in Philadelphia. Likewise, Lillard would be a stark change from Simmons with his ability to create his own shot from all areas of the floor.

If nothing else, though, the 76ers fans sent their message clearly on Monday night that, if they had their way, a Simmons-Lillard trade would happen tomorrow
