Super middleweight champions Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant go head to head for undisputed status. Here’s some added information and how to watch.

It’s Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant fight week! This is a highly anticipated matchup that’s even more intriguing considering the bad blood formed between the two during the fight build-up.

Alvarez is the WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion. He’s also the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world by most accounts. The 30-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico, is in his athletic prime and is riding an impressive seven-fight winning streak since battling to a draw against Gennadiy Golovkin in their first meeting in 2017. Alvarez won the rematch via majority decision.

Plant is the reigning IBF champion. He holds an undefeated record but lacks Alvarez’s experience and résumé. He’s a slick boxer and an incredible athlete. The 29-year-old, originally from Ashland City, TN, is all confidence despite coming in as the underdog.

Alvarez and Plant had a physical altercation during their first press conference. Plant got the worst of the action and bled from a cut under his right eye. He has continued to taunt Alvarez on social media, while Alvarez has been vocal about his disdain for Plant.

This one is shaping up to be a matchup filled with animosity. Here’s what you need to know to get ready for fight night.
