7 running backs Titans can trade for with Derrick Henry injured

Mike Davis is helping his hometown Atlanta Falcons rebuild under Arthur Smith
One name to keep an eye on is Atlanta Falcons starting running back Mike Davis. While he has mostly been a backup in his NFL career out of South Carolina, he did make the most of his opportunities with the Carolina Panthers last year. Given that he plays for former Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in Atlanta, moving to the Titans’ offense would not be that difficult.
The Houston Texans could make David Johnson or Phillip Lindsay available
If the Houston Texans were not division rivals, they would be the likeliest trade partner for Tennessee. They have two running backs who could come in and make a big impact in David Johnson or Phillip Lindsay. Albeit with other teams, Johnson and Lindsay have shown they can make a big impact as the featured back of an NFL team. Being division rivals makes this so hard.
The New York Jets must ask if Tevin Coleman is part of what they are building
Tevin Coleman has played pretty much in one scheme since he was drafted out of Indiana by the Falcons. He is proficient as a No. 2 back in the zone-blocking scheme. Coleman plays for the rebuilding New York Jets in Mike LaFleur’s offense. While he is an ideal stop-gap running back who can carry a sizable workload, is he as good of a schematic fit in Tennessee as he is with New York?
Rashaad Penny is available for pennies on the dollar from the Seattle Seahawks
Reaching on Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State was a huge mistake made by the Seattle Seahawks years ago. Now in the final year of his rookie deal, the Seahawks can get something for their running back sunk cost from a desperate team like the Titans. With Russell Wilson being out for a while with a busted finger, any draft compensation the Seahawks can get would help a ton.
Though a trade this late in the process will be hard, the Titans do have several options available.
