Dwayne Bowe calls out Browns for mistreating Odell Beckham, Jr.
By Mark Powell
Dwayne Bowe claims the Browns mistreated him the same way they are Odell Beckham, Jr., despite that not being remotely true.
It’s fun to pretend, though.
Below is a complete outline of Dwayne Bowe’s production in Cleveland.
Tough to beat that!
On Tuesday, several prominent OBJ supporters, including LeBron James and his own father, claimed Beckham, Jr. has been mistreated and Cleveland and should find a way out. You can add former Browns receiver Dwayne Bowe to that list.
Beckham, Sr. posted a cryptic Instagram video of the Browns and Baker Mayfield overlooking OBJ when he’s clearly open. It would appear Beckham, Sr. believes that’s intentional on Mayfield’s part.
Browns: Dwayne Bowe backs Odell Beckham, Sr.’s assertion
Bowe played his final season in Cleveland, in which he appeared in seven games, started none, and caught five passes for 53 yards. The two are not comparable in any way.
It’s cute that Bowe believes the Browns went out of their way to ensure he didn’t succeed. It’s also astounding, just like assuming Mayfield isn’t throwing to OBJ on purpose, despite that fact that doing so would make the Browns star happy and help the team succeed.
At least Bowe is having his fun at Browns’ fans expense.
The veteran wideout retired as a Chief, and hated his time in Cleveland, as did so many players in the mid-2010’s. Those Browns teams were hideous for a reason, and Bowe did not help their cause.
