Three Houston radio stations accidentally broadcasted a commercial congratulated the Astros on winning the World Series .

The Houston Astros managed to avoid elimination this past Sunday with a huge 9-5 Game 5 win over the Atlanta Braves, cutting the deficit to 3-2. As a result, the Astros were able to send the World Series back to Houston for the next two games at maximum.

On Monday, a day before Game 6 at Minute Maid Park, three Houston iHeartMedia radio stations aired a DICK’S Sporting Goods commercial congratulating the Astros on winning the World Series. Whoops.

Sunny 99.1, 94.5 The Buzz and 93.7 The Beat all issued statements on Tuesday apologizing for the mishap.

Did local Houston radio just jinx them? It is still too early to tell.

The Astros found themselves in an early hole in the top of the third inning of Game 6 after Luis Garcia allowed a single to Ozzie Albies and a walk to Eddie Rosario, setting up a monstrous three-run homer to Jorge Soler.

Houston is looking to be the first team to win the World Series after trailing 3-1 since the Chicago Cubs did so back in 2016 against the Cleveland Indians. They will have to find a way to get ahead of the Braves on the scoreboard on Tuesday night to ensure that happens.
