LeBron James is hoping Odell Beckham Jr. can be freed from the Cleveland Browns.

LeBron James is well aware that Odell Beckham Jr.’s tenure has not gone over very well with the Cleveland Browns.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar hopes the former New York Giants standout wide receiver gets traded at the deadline. Though Beckham became a superstar because of one one-handed catch, he used to be an explosive receiving target in his prime by being able to take one slant to the house after another. With the Browns being a ground-centric offense, Beckham might be traded.

Here is James hoping for the very best when it comes to Cleveland’s talented wide receiver.

James may root for the Browns with his Northeast Ohio roots and all, but his tweet about Beckham can be interpreted in a lot of ways. Either he is expecting a breakout performance out of Beckham vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon or he believes Beckham is going to be traded. Unlike in the NBA, James has no control at all over what transactions happen in the NFL.

As for Beckham, he is still on the good side of 30-years-old. He may just need a change of scenery to bring out the best in him once again. Beckham did remarkable things with Eli Manning throwing him the football for years in New York. As far as where Beckham could be potentially traded to, that remains to be seen. He has trade value, but nowhere near what he once had with the Giants.

Cleveland needs to figure some things out fast if the Browns want to keep their season afloat.
