2. Browns offense will score at least 20 points for the first time in weeks

If the Browns want any hope of winning this game, they need the offense to put up some points. While they were able to get past the Broncos two weeks ago, they are the Broncos, a franchise that has been defined by offensive futility ever since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset as a Super Bowl champion. As for the 2021 Bengals, this team can put up some points offensively.

Not to say this game will be a shootout, but the Browns need to play complementary football to leave the Queen City with a Week 9 win. The defense needs to continue to do its part, probably a little more than that this week. But what really needs to happen is the Browns offense needs to hit pay dirt, not once, not twice, but at least three times. So how are the Browns going to score?

Well, there will be a 60-yard rushing touchdown from Chubb, so there’s that. He may have another in a goal-line situation. If his new backup D’Ernest Johnson can punch one in, that’s three. As for Mayfield, while he is not going to turn the football over, he will also be able to throw for one as well. So if the Browns have somewhere around 28 points, they have a shot at winning this game.

Cleveland will put up somewhere between 21 and 31 points in a tight game vs. the Bengals.
