Browns player slams ‘malcontent’ Odell Beckham Jr. on his way out of Cleveland
By Mark Powell
With Odell Beckham Jr. on his way out of Cleveland, the Browns are taking shots at the embattled wideout to end the week.
Odell has been excused from practice each of the last two days, making for an unseemly exit from the Cleveland Browns facilities. Intentional or not, the Browns are painting OBJ as a dramatic, two-faced drama king who is only happy when he gets his way. Such is the case with all star wide receiver exits.
But really, what has Odell done? Clearly he’s vented some frustrations to his father, who took to social media to side with OBJ and criticize Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. Still, that’s not Beckham, Jr.’s fault. There’s only so much he can do to keep his family under wraps.
Anonymous teammates have gone on the record to criticize Beckham, Jr. to NFL reporter Mike Garafolo. The following is per The Score.

Browns: Odell Beckham, Jr. in search of a new home
Odell’s dealt with injuries in recent years, and appears disinterested at times on the field when he’s not consistently getting the ball. Mayfield, a young quarterback, is doing his best to win games and win over the city of Cleveland, let alone keep all his high-profile targets happy. It’s easier said than done.
Perhaps OBJ would be better suited elsewhere, with a veteran signal-caller and under a little less pressure to contribute so heavily. Beckham, Jr. was used to the bright lights of New York City before his falling out with the Giants. On a one-year prove it deal, OBJ makes a lot of sense for teams with an established core of weapons, and a top-tier signal caller in search of one more star-caliber wideout to put his team over the top.
This is all assuming Beckham, Jr. can drop whatever attitude the Browns are referring to, at the door.
