Josh Johnson’s Wikipedia page includes laundry list of professional football teams
By Mark Powell
New York Jets quarterback Mike White injured his forearm against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night, so Josh Johnson came in.
Johnson has been pretty much everywhere, most recently with the XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats. Still, despite Johnson maintaining star stature in the XFL, the National Football League will forever be the pinnacle of the sport.
So, when the Jets came calling, Johnson listened. Zach Wilson and now White have gone down in consecutive weeks, meaning Johnson got his shot.
Johnson is a football journeyman, and has proven capable enough as a backup to be called upon on not just multiple NFL teams, but multiple leagues.
The complete list is stunning.

It’s unclear exactly how long Johnson will have to start. He could be the man for the rest of the night, with White questionable to return and still dealing with forearm issues.
The Jets traded for Joe Flacco at the deadline, and he is listed as the team’s backup quarterback on the team’s official depth chart. Yet, it’s Johnson who was dressed and got the call when White went down.
