4. Raiders defense will allow fewer than 30 points for an eighth straight game

One thing that has gotten lost in the Raiders’ strong first half of the 2021 NFL season has been the improved play of their defense. It looks like they made the right hire by bringing in Gus Bradley to coordinate their defense. So far through seven games, the Silver and Black have not given up 30 points in a game. While it is not an impossible task, it shows that this side of the ball is improving.

While the Raiders have allowed at least 17 points to be scored on them in each of their previous seven games, they have never had more than 28 points scored on them either. Simply put, Bradley’s defense is doing its job to allow Derek Carr and the Raiders offense to go out there and win games. The best part is not every game the Raiders play these days has to be a shootout.

Given the Giants’ ongoing offensive struggles, the Raiders will 100 percent keep the G-Men from putting up 30 points on them. If this game were being played at Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders would have a great opportunity to keep New York offense below 20 points scored. Though New York could put up somewhere in the high-20s, the Raiders will find a way to get the job done.

Look for the Raiders to allow the Giants to score somewhere around 24 points at MetLife Sunday.
