The 1-6 Oklahoma City Thunder head to Los Angeles to take on the 5-3 Los Angeles Lakers at STAPLES Center on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 10:30 pm ET. 

On Thursday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season.

It will be a fascinating matchup, as their Oct. 27 encounter marked the Thunder’s only win of the season. The Lakers lost 123-115, and they were without one of their key players — which appears to be the same case this Thursday.

LeBron James has been ruled out of the Thursday night home game with an abdominal strain, which is bad news for James as well as the Lakers.

Their last game was a close one, where the Lakers edged by the Houston Rockets by a field goal for a 119-117 win. Both James and teammate Russell Westbrook were critical in that win, with James posting 30 points and ten assists and Westbrook posting 27 points and seven assists.

Still, the Lakers are more talented than this Thunders team, who will be relying on point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Gilgeous-Alexander currently leads OKC in scoring at 22.9 points per game.

Perhaps the feeling of being home, combined with the desire to exact revenge on a team that humiliated them, will give the Lakers the advantage they need to ensure their second Thunder match is a win.
