College football expert picks for Week 10, including LSU-Alabama and Auburn-Texas A&M
College football expert picks for Week 10, including the SEC showdowns between LSU and Alabama and Texas A&M and Auburn.
It seems odd to be starting November and not have games that, on their face, have huge Playoff implications. This week, we’re going to do something a little different: the Mayhem Pick.
Here are the rules:
- It has to be a legitimate upset.
- It has to be plausible.
- It has to have major CFP implications if it happens.
That’s all. Let’s look at this week’s college football picks.

Last week’s Mayhem Pick was Florida over Georgia. It didn’t happen, but if it had, that would have been nuts. This week, it’s Purdue playing spoiler for Michigan State. And this one has a much greater likelihood of happening, per ESPN’s FPI Matchup Predictor. The rare “I could see that!” in this newly made-up gimmick. After all, they did beat then-No. 2 Iowa earlier this year and have a penchant for upsetting top-five teams.
