Atlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson stole the show during the team’s World Series parade with a NSFW speech that had fans cheering.

Joc Pederson was one of the biggest personalities on the Atlanta Braves’ World Series-winning squad with his pearl necklaces and dyed blond hair.

So, of course, his speech at the Braves‘ championship celebration at Truist Park was a memorable one. It was also NSFW.

“What up Atlanta,” Pederson asked after swaggering up to get the mic in shorts and holding a cigar. “Hey guess what? We are those motherf***ers!”

That’s a direct reference to Pederson’s piece in The Players Tribune ahead of the World Series.

The outfielder recalled a road trip when he ended up on the pitchers’ bus because he wanted to keep playing cards with them.

When they asked him why he was there, Pederson’s reply was this: “Because y’all are the motherf***ers who are going to win us a World Series.”

He signed off the piece with a call back:

“Because, yeah — we might not be a superteam. We might have only won 88 games. We might have had our share of injuries, and slipped below some people’s radars, and taken an unconventional path to get to this stage.

“But we also just might be those motherf***ers.”

Pederson and his teammates proved they were by besting the Astros in six games, including a commanding Game 6 victory in Houston to clinch the World Series title.

Pederson spent half a season with the Braves and he’s a free agent now so he might not spend more time in Atlanta beyond these celebrations. However, he’s become a legend in his very short time. His exclamation won’t be forgotten any time soon.
