Giving them their second win of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers got flamed online for letting the Thunder beat them 107-104 at home.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the bottom four teams in the Western Conference.
Sitting at 2-6, there’s a great deal that hasn’t been working for them this season.
One thing that has worked out — twice — has been their games against the Los Angeles Lakers.
As of Thursday night, the Lakers are the ones that have surrendered both of Oklahoma’s two wins.
Although both of these losses were had when LeBron James was sidelined without injury, losing by a missed Westbrook 3-pointer is still unforgivable for L.A. fans.
Struggling, then losing, against one of the NBA’s worst teams has been cause for celebration among Thunder fans.
But for Lakers fans, the Lake Show is turning into a comical late night show.
Lakers fans voiced thunderous disapproval for their home team on Twitter, torching them for losing to the Thunder… again.
Lakers fans flame the Los Angeles team for losing once again to Thunder
Using humor to cope with tragedy, Lakers fans joked that Russell Westbrook was the best Thunder player seen all night. The image of Westbrook scratching his nose after a shameful field goal attempt is memeable.

One thing true, Westbrook still got a lot of love for Oklahoma City

Westbrook became the biggest joke of the night, with Lakers and non-Lakers fans alike saying that the recent offseason add was killing this team.

Even StatMuse had some mathetmatical fun at Westbrook’s expense.
The Russell Westbrook experience:

— 27 points
— 6 rebounds
— 5 assists
— A late turnover
— Inexplicably leaving his man for dagger layup

Journalist Tom Haberstroh has another stat for Westbrook’s failed last-second three-pointer that cost them the game.
Russell Westbrook loooves this shot. Since his MVP season, Westbrook has taken more tie or go-ahead 3-pointers in the final minute of games than any other NBA player. His stats on those shots:

Even before the game, Derek Fisher accidentally called Westbrook “Westbrick” on live television in a clip that is blowing up on Twitter.

Actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., who played his father Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton, has a message for fellow Lakers die-hards: this ain’t it.
Ay yo @Lakers y’all better figure out these role players. Because this currently… ain’t it. Goodnight.

Sincerely,
Laker Fans
As Lakers fans scratch their heads, rewatch painful replays and commiserate over Westbrick online, OKC fans have their own memeable moments to remember their second thunderous victory of the year.
