College football fans have a genuine love for Lee Corso on College GameDay, which is why so many of them are worried about him.

For the first time in College GameDay history, ESPN is hosting its Saturday kickoff show at Cincinnatti.

Bearcats fans are undefeated, ranked No. 6 in the College Football Playoff standings and now get the chance to see Lee Corso and the GameDay gang in the flesh.

Unfortunately, Corso isn’t always at his best these days.

Corso is a college football staple of Saturday mornings. It’s hard to imagine College GameDay without him there making his headgear picks and being lovable.

That doesn’t mean he’s going to be able to be there forever.

Corso suffered a stroke in 2009 and he had to go through rehabilitation just to make it back in time for football season in the fall.

It shows his immense dedication to his craft that he has been doing shows every Saturday for more than a decade since then. Per the Washington Post, he has to rehearse each appearance for days because of how the stroke impacted his speech.

Corso is a great example of perseverance to all who know him and watch him each Saturday. He’s also 86 years old.

After three decades of coaching and more than 30 years as a TV analyst, Corso is due for a peaceful retirement.
