Fresh off after the Braves World Series parade, Joc Pederson was in Athens to get some quality time with UGA as the Bulldogs hosted Missouri.
Joc Pederson will never have to buy a meal in Georgia for the rest of his life. The Atlanta Braves outfielder was a catalyst for the organization after a midseason trade with the Cubs brought him to the team.
From there, he was a vocal leader in and out of the clubhouse and a wonderful personality who became a bit of a cult hero.
With his pearl necklace he wore to the bold and brash quotes he delivered and the confidence that translated throughout the rest of the team, Pederson was instrumental to the Braves winning the World Series.
The Braves had their World Series parade through the streets of Atlanta on Friday.
On Saturday, Pederson was in Athens to pet UGA and watch the No. 1 team in college football where he received a rousing ovation from the fans doubling as Dawgs and Braves fans.
Joc Pederson hopes to see his good luck transfer to the Georgia football team
Not that Georgia football needed any luck as the No. 1 team in the country with a defense thatās a figurative brick wall, but Pederson spending time with the program is sure to be a benefit. Itās always nice to spend time with a champion and Pederson is riding the high that comes with his second World Series title in as many years.
If Georgia wins their first national title since 1980, they should have Pederson come to the championship parade and deliver some NSFW quotes like he did at the Braves parade.
