Ohio State football won’t have leading receiver Garrett Wilson when the Buckeyes take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday.
C.J. Stroud will have to find a new favorite target when Ohio State takes on Nebraska on Saturday. Ohio State leading receiver Garrett Wilson is unavailable and will not play for the Buckeyes against the Cornhuskers.
Wilson has 43 receptions and 687 receiving yards this season but his absence will open up more opportunities for Marvin Harrison Jr., Emeka Egbuka and Julian Fleming.
The passing game has been one of the best in the nation in recent weeks and Ohio State has lit up the scoreboard as a result. The expectations will be the same when the Buckeyes invade Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska has been a program that’s suffered one back-breaking loss after another. Of course, they’d love nothing more than to pull off an upset in front of their fans that are starved for a signature win from head coach Scott Frost. Not having Wilson is a loss for the Buckeyes but it’s unlikely it’ll result in a loss in the record books.
Garrett Wilson explains absence from Ohio State lineup vs. Nebraska
No injury was specified as to the reason for Wilson being out of the lineup. Wilson posted a tweet ahead of the game saying he’s good and appreciates all the prayers from fans as he looks forward to watching his teammates.
For those asking, I am all good! I appreciate the prayers. Can’t wait to watch them boys ball here soon against Nebraska. Go Bucks!

It sounds promising that Wilson will only be out for the one game and should be back in the lineup next game.
