After the Ohio State Buckeyes escaped Lincoln with a win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day took the chance to speak about the game.

The Ohio State Buckeyes received an unexpected challenge in the form of the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday. Ohio State, one of the best teams in the country, and Nebraska, one of the worst, were only separated by a total of nine points as the Buckeyes beat the Cornhuskers 26-17.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day seemed to have a bit of a mixed reaction when it came to this particular win. One the one hand, it can be tough to win a road game like this, so there’s a reason to be satisfied with a win. On the other hand, the Buckeyes probably should’ve won by a considerably larger margin.

Here’s what Day had to say after the Buckeyes beat Nebraska:

Ryan Day press conference quotes: Ohio State head coach speaks with media after Buckeyes beat Nebraska

Day certainly didn’t seem too enthused with the way the Buckeyes experienced some struggled when they tried to run the ball:

Day also addressed some less-than-stellar plays that impacted the way Ohio State was able to operate on offense.

All that said, it appears as if Day was proud that his team came out on top.

It can be tricky to win road games and Ohio State has a target on its back. The Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the Big Ten and teams that are trying to prove themselves, such as Nebraska, will be doing everything possible to get a win. The Buckeyes didn’t lose and they’re still in position to potentially win the Big Ten East.
