When Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada suffered a shoulder injury against Auburn, the Aggies turned to backup Blake Bost.
Texas A&M has had enough injury trouble at quarterback this year with Haynes King lost for the season with a leg injury. They just got hit again.
Against Auburn, Zach Calzada had to come out because of a shoulder issue after he lowered the boom on Auburn’s Smoke Monday.

Texas A&M backup quarterback: Zach Calzada replaced by Blake Bost
Blake Bost came in to replace Calzada. He was a preferred walk-on in the class of 2021.
The freshman has played three games this year but doesn’t have extensive experience and has yet to complete a pass.
Bost’s time under center was short-lived as Calzada emerged from the medical tent to return to the field. He rifled an 18-yard strike over the middle to Ainias Smith that suggests he’s not hurting at all. At least, not until the adrenaline wears off after the game.
