NFL Twitter went off on the Los Angeles Rams for a miserable first-half showing against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday Night Football.
The scriptwriters for the NFL decided that Week 9 was going to flip all the narratives on their head.
The teams that had looked the strongest going into the week all ended up being humbled in one way or another. The Cowboys got blown out by the Broncos. The Bills lost to the Jaguars. The Saints and Raiders lost to the Falcons and Giants.
Considering all that had happened earlier in the day, what went down in the first half of Sunday Night Football made a lot more sense.
The Rams, one of the hottest teams in the league, got smacked around by the Titans, who forced Matthew Stafford into critical turnovers and took a 21-6 lead into halftime.
NFL Twitter gave the Rams a beating for falling behind to the Titans
Social media had all sorts of comments about Los Angeles getting smoked on their home field.
The NFL is so weird. Who the hell are the good teams? Jets beat the Titans. Jags beat the Bills. Rams are getting their ass kicked by the Titans. Cowboys lose to the Broncos. I’m confused

Just making sure I have this right: people were really high on the Bills, Cowboys and Rams coming into this weekend, right?

The Rams have beaten up on a lot of average/bad teams this season. When they've played good teams, they've gotten blown out in the cases of AZ and TEN. The exception is TB and right now that's what it is...the exception.

Jeffery Simmons had 3.0 *first half* sacks against the Rams on Sunday night.

He only had 7.5 *career* sacks entering Week 9. pic.twitter.com/R55qX04eWG

The Titans came into this game 6-2, so they are no scrubs. The idea of them besting the Rams on the road isn’t all that unbelievable. It’s the way it all went down with Stafford looking so rattled at times.
However it turns out, Tennessee seems to have embraced the idea of being underrated while LA has some things to work out if they want to truly be a contender.
