3 Kirk Cousins replacements Vikings need to start thinking about right now
By Ethan Lee
Will the Minnesota Vikings decide to move on from Kirk Cousins? Here are three possible replacements for the longtime NFL quarterback.
Minnesota Vikings fans continue to grow frustrated with the way quarterback Kirk Cousins plays. While Cousins is a talented quarterback who has proven he can help a team win, he’s among some of the older quarterbacks in the league at 33-years-old and he’s got a pretty hefty salary. At the moment, Cousins is only on contract through the 2022 season, but he’ll make an absurd amount of money that year.
So, what do the Vikings do? Will they continue to stick with a quarterback who has been a part of some rough seasons and underachieving teams, or will Minnesota move on and find a new quarterback to help usher in a new era?
If the Vikings do want to start over, here are three quarterbacks to consider.

3. Matt Corral
There may not be a more exciting quarterback in college football than Ole Miss Rebels star Matt Corral. Few players are generally able to carry their team the way Corral has this season, and Ole Miss has certainly looked for him to get the Rebels some wins.
Corral has completed 66.8 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,526 yards and 16 touchdowns against just two picks. He’s also run for 528 yards and 10 more touchdowns.
Now, all that said, Corral has taken quite a few hits this year. The Rebels have been dinged up all over on offense and they’ve relied heavily upon their talented quarterback to carry them. That’s taking a bit of a toll.
Should the Vikings go out and pick Corral in the draft, they may not want to thrust him into any potentially risky situations. Maybe consider letting him rest up and get accustomed to the NFL at a reasonable pace.
