Russell Wilson cleared to play in Week 10 against Packers
Come Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks will have Russell Wilson back as they take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Russell Wilson is back.
After missing three games over four weeks — a well-timed bye always helps — Wilson is returning in Week 10 for the Seattle Seahawks. It’s perfect for Seattle, who at 3-5 is struggling to stay afloat in the NFC playoff picture.
Wilson needed finger surgery after an injury on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Now, with their star quarterback returning to the lineup, Seattle has a chance to rip off some wins and regain momentum in its search of the postseason.

At 3-5, the Seahawks likely have to win six of their final nine games to get into the tournament. Looking at their schedule, one of the toughest remaining contests is upcoming with a trip to Lambeau Field. However, it’s unknown if Aaron Rodgers will play for the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers, currently in COVID-19 protocol as an unvaccinated person with a positive test, is eligible to be reinstated on Saturday if everything goes right.
Seattle then plays the one-loss Arizona Cardinals at Lumen Field in Week 11, but things lighten after that. The Seahawks only play two more games against teams with winning records, including a Week 18 rematch with Arizona. Depending on how the standings look, the Cardinals might be resting starters by then.
The Seahawks have plenty of ground to make up, but Wilson’s return gives them hope to do so.
