Wide Receivers

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team-$7,800

Going into Tampa Bay’s Week 9 bye, Godwin had double-digit targets in three of four games with over 100 yards and a touchdown in the last two. Antonio Brown was able to shed his walking boot on Wednesday, but he still didn’t practice and his status for Sunday is up in the air. Godwin himself was held out of Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury, so that’s something monitor.

Regardless of Brown’s status, there will be room for all of Tampa Bay’s primary wide receivers to eat in Week 10. The Washington Football Team is allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to wide receivers so far this season (35.6), and they’re naturally toward the bottom across the board against the position.

The ceiling will be higher if Brown is out again, but Godwin is too easy to forget about at less than $8,000 on FanDuel this week. Just be sure to confirm his health.

Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Minnesota Vikings-$7,200

As an Allen manager in a season-long league, I can tell you heavy target volume hasn’t always yielded great production for him this season. But in Week 9 against the Eagles, it came together better with 12 catches (on 13 targets) for 104 yards. An opportunity to keep it rollng is lined up in Week 10.

The Vikings have allowed 33.4 FanDuel points per game to wide receivers (tied for sixth-most in the league), with 10 touchdowns allowed to the position as big plays have occassionally bit them. Being down top cornerback Patrick Peterson for at least one more game won’t help, and a generally struggling Bashaud Breeland was banged up in Week 9. The Herbert-Allen stack was an easy one this week.

Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles-$6,200

In two games since coming back from an ankle injury, has 10 catches on 12 targets–a 22.2 percent target share from Teddy Bridgewater over that span. The second-year man has not been eased back in, with 72 and 60 percent snaps shares, and Bridgewater’s eye for him has been maintained.

In Week 9, Jeudy was also used differently in an effort to get the ball in his hands. Per the Denver Post, four of his team-high six catches came were caught one yard beyond or behind the line of scrimmage.

It doesn’t look like a fantastic matchup for Week 10, as the Eagles are top-five in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. But much like their standing against quarterbacks, going against some not-so great offenses has helped. In a better than it looks matchup, Jeudy is a nice DFS value this week.
