2. Green Bay’s defense will notch at least three sacks

Wilson’s likely return to the field will put a ton of pressure on Green Bay’s defense to bring heat against him on every obvious passing down. The challenge in getting Wilson on the ground is that he gets the ball out of his hands as quickly as any quarterback in the NFL.

Even so, it takes time for D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett to get down the field on their deep patterns. That will give the Packers’ front-seven time to get to Wilson if they select the right sort of blitzes. Rashan Gary is one Green Bay defender who seems poised for a breakout game this week.

The end result will see the Packers get Wilson to the ground on at least three occasions. The question remains whether or not that blitzing strategy will leave Green Bay’s secondary too exposed to Seattle’s deep shots. It’s a risky strategy for the team’s defense.

It’s going to be a necessary risk for the Packers though. They have to force Seattle’s hand somehow. If turnovers aren’t going to be the solution, pressuring Wilson has to happen for Green Bay to be successful.
