The Patriots are winners of their last three games and are now in an AFC East race with Buffalo. Can they make it four in a row against the Browns?

After winning their third straight game, the New England Patriots are now just a half game back of the AFC East lead. Their defense was once again the big determining factor in their Week 9 win over Carolina.

New England will host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in a game that will have big ramifications on the AFC Wildcard picture. Can they make it four straight wins, or will the Browns be the team to get to 6-4?

What to expect between the Patriots and Browns

J.C. Jackson will continue his incredible season

Jackson’s ability to constantly take the ball away is incredibly impressive. He has five interceptions this season, and 14 in his last 25 games.

We know the Browns aren’t going to throw the ball a lot if they don’t have to. In their perfect world, they will go into Foxboro, ground and pound the Patriots to death, and ask Mayfield to throw the ball 20 times.

That said, Jackson will still find a way to shift momentum with an interception. Mayfield has a tendency to make the errant throw, and no one capitalizes on those types of throws better than the Patriots’ star cornerback. Trevon Diggs has been the talk of the 2021 season, but let’s give J.C. Jackson his flowers.
