Aaron Rodgers’ family has wild reaction to his vaccination stance
By John Buhler
Aaron Rodgers’ father Ed is proud of his son’s stance on not getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
As if Aaron Rodgers’ vaccination stance could not get any stranger, his estranged father Ed supports his son’s highly controversial decision to not get vaccinated, despite him being the franchise quarterback of the Super Bowl-contending Green Bay Packers.
Per USA TODAY Sports, Ed Rodgers said he supports his son’s decision to combat the coronavirus through alternative medicines rather than just getting the vaccine. He also says that any backlash Rodgers received from when he went on The Pat McAfee Show was totally blown out of proportion. Given Rodgers’ estrangement from his family, his dad’s support is odd to say the least.
While Rodgers can do whatever he wants as a grown man, there are consequences to one’s actions, especially those that are clandestine in nature.
Aaron Rodgers’ father supports his son’s stance on not getting vaccinated
Though other franchise quarterbacks have not been vaccinated, Rodgers was the only one of note to not come right out and explain why he did not receive the jab. He conducted himself like a vaccinated player throughout the first half of the season, thinking he was above the protocols. Once he contracted the coronavirus, it put his team in a bad spot, both now and in the future.
Though he may be on his way out of Green Bay before too long, being one win away from getting back to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade last year and then choosing to not get the vaccine during the offseason, yes, those actions carry consequences. This offseason was all about Aaron, and unfortunately for Packers fans, he may have cost them a shot at a Lombardi.
While families should support each other, what a mind-boggling time to extend the olive branch.
