4. Ohio State Buckeyes

There was no need to fear Purdue taking down another top-four team for the Buckeyes. Ohio State decided to not join Iowa and Michigan State’s party and thoroughly rolled through the Boilermakers at home.

The Buckeyes two biggest games of the year will determine if they make the College Football Playoff, let alone the Big Ten Championship. First up is Michigan State at home followed by Michigan on the road to end the season. This is the time of the year where the stakes continue to get higher.

3. Cincinnati Bearcats

While Cincinnati isn’t in the College Football Playoff top four, the AP isn’t budging on its feelings toward the program. Cincinnati was second going into this week or it could remain there if the AP chooses to finally slot Alabama into second.

The Bearcats spent the weekend on the bye and will look to round out the regular season looking to make its case to the committee. Right now, the Bearcats have to focus on a major showdown with SMU on Saturday.
