8. Michigan Wolverines

For a second it looked like Jim Harbaugh was about to lose another big game. Instead Michigan took care of Penn State on the road and is one win away from 10 on the season. The Wolverines have Maryland next which should be that 10th win.

However, Michigan wants to win the Big Ten and more importantly make the playoff. It comes down to the final game of the season at home against Ohio State. It will be Jim Harbaugh’s chance to finally break through against the Buckeyes.

7. Michigan State Spartans

A week after seeing its perfect season come to an end against Purdue, Michigan State rebounded nicely at home. The Spartans took care of business as they took down Maryland. Kenneth Walker rushed for two more touchdowns in the win.

The real test for Michigan State is next. The Spartans will have a road battle against Ohio State. It’s a must win for Michigan State as it tries to claim the Big Ten East. A loss and there will be no trip to Indianapolis.
