Adam Schefter reports Robert Woods out with a torn ACL on same day the team signed Odell Beckham Jr. Rams depth chart with Bobby Trees out with injury.
Odell Beckham Jr will make his debut for the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers, but Robert Woods won’t be with him.
On the same day the Rams signed the former Cleveland Browns receiver, Woods tore his ACL in Friday’s practice and is lost for the season.
Adam Schefter reported the devastating news for the player nicknamed Bobby Trees.
Woods is lost for the season and Beckham will assume his No. 2 wide receiver position on the team’s depth chart. Van Jefferson will see a bigger role in the offense with Woods out.

On the same day that the team signed WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams’ WR Robert Woods tore his ACL at practice Friday, sources tell @diannaESPN and me.

Robert Woods hurt his knee at practice Friday. He went down, got up, finished practice, conducted interviews with the media after, nobody thought anything wrong…and then tests discovered later that he tore his ACL, per sources.

With Rams’ WR Robert Woods now out for the year with a torn ACL, Odell Beckham Jr. just went from being a luxury to being a necessity.

It is an isolated ACL tear for Robert Woods that the team discovered last night, per source.

Peter Schrager details the play Woods was injured
Woods’ injury obviously makes Beckham signing all the more important. But the name to circle is Van Jefferson, second-year player who has gained the trust of Stafford and the HC over the course of the season.

Woods is a major loss to the Rams. He’s a key player and captain.

But it isn’t being viewed as the end of the season for the Rams. In 2018, Los Angeles lost Cooper Kupp to a torn ACL and went to the Super Bowl ten weeks later. That injury also occurred during Week 10.
Rams depth chart with Robert Woods out
Beckham goes from a luxury to a necessity. It’s a brutal loss to not have Woods in the lineup. He’s a total glue guy, a guy who does everything that’s asked of him. Plus, he’s been more productive over the last few years than Beckham. There won’t be any acclimation period for the former Browns receiver who will play Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers and assume the No. 2 receiver role in the updated Rams depth chart.
- Cooper Kupp is WR1
- Odell Beckham Jr. will be WR2
- Van Jefferson is the WR3
