Tom Brady’s postgame comments were hilariously short after embarrassing loss to WFT
By John Buhler
Tom Brady did not have a lot to say after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Washington Football Team.
The cat had Tom Brady’s tongue after his Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost an unthinkable one to the Washington Football Team.
Brady lasted a grand total of 103 seconds during the mandatory postgame press conference for the Buccaneers starting quarterback. He did not play well on Sunday, which allowed Taylor Heinicke and the rest of the Washington roster to steal a win at home over the defending Super Bowl champions. Tampa Bay fell to 6-3 on the season, while Washington improved to 3-6.
The saving grace in all this is the Buccaneers’ two other division rivals playing in the early-afternoon window also lost. While the New Orleans Saints lost a heartbreaker to the Tennessee Titans, the Atlanta Falcons were throughly embarrassed in a complete rout by the Dallas Cowboys.
Tom Brady press conference: Buccaneers QB’s presser was hilariously short
Brady’s postgame press conference lasted about as long as song performed live by your favorite straight-edge, hardcore band. Though we weren’t counting, there have been trips to the free-throw line by one Giannis Antetokoumpo that last longer than those most glorious 103 seconds of Brady. For a man who has made his living being efficient in two-minute drills, props to The GOAT.
While this may not have been as sad as what Cam Newton looked like at the podium in the aftermath of Super Bowl 50, Newton is clearly having the best day of any NFC South quarterback. He is back to doing Superman Cam things as a member of the Carolina Panthers once again. It was as if he never left. As for Brady, he looked like a grumpy old man who ached a ton at the podium.
In Brady’s never-ending battle vs. time, Father Time took another W away from the quarterback.
