NFL Twitter had a field day trolling the Rams for their loss to the 49ers on Monday Night Football on debut night for Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller.
The Los Angeles Rams were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders. They were supposed to be a dream team. Their debut was a dud.
After adding Pro Bowlers in Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles got brought back to earth by the 49ers.
And NFL Twitter absolutely loved it.
NFL Twitter roasted the Rams in OBJ and Von Miller’s debut
Whether it was Browns fans cheering on Beckham Jr.’s misfortunate or 49ers fans enjoying their dominance over an NFC West rival, social media went in on the Rams with zero mercy.

The Rams… who I thought would do well tonight… seem to stink.

What is the NFL dude?
The Rams made a lot headlines this week just to get smoked in prime time by a 3-5 team…

Now I understand why Von Miller was crying when he found out he was traded to the Rams

All that talk about Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller leading up to this game and the #49ers just took the Rams behind the woodshed.

Rams are the better team on paper, but 49ers came out with a better game plan, out-toughed them and kicked their ass up and down Levi's.

This Rams team will be really good when they add some young players from the draft

At least LA wasn’t alone?

It’s been a weird NFL season with more than a few shocking results. Still, San Francisco definitely wasn’t expected to do that to the Rams, even if they hadn’t just brought in reinforcements.
In the end, OBJ finished with just two catches for 18 yards. Von Miller’s debut will be best remembered for being brutally welcomed to the division by George Kittle.
It may just take time for LA to start clicking in their new form. Still, they could have done without the humbling in front of a national audience.
As for the 49ers, that’s the kind of win that could propel them this season. Or it could just be a sign of Kyle Shanahan having Sean McVay’s number.
