Friendly fire: CeeDee Lamb nearly gave Dak Prescott a black eye on Sunday
By John Buhler
CeeDee Lamb was too busy dog walking the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday that he inadvertently gave Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott a black eye.
You can thank Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for the shiner under Dak Prescott’s right eye.
While the Cowboys were too busy handing the Atlanta Falcons their worst regular-season loss arguably ever, Lamb got a little too fired up on the sidelines. He went to celebrate with his quarterback, giving him a head butt … with his helmet on. This resulted in Prescott getting a cut under his eye and a bit of a black eye heading into Week 11’s date vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here is when Lamb had his C’mon, Man! moment.
And here is how Prescott’s face looks two days after the fact.

While the Cowboys are in the midst of what looks to be the best season since Prescott’s rookie year out of Mississippi State, Dallas needs its starting quarterback with two fully-functioning eyes. Prescott may have so many weapons to spread the ball to, but it does nobody any good if their quarterback can’t find a receiver because one of his eyes doesn’t work. First world problems.
In reality, Dallas is a fantastic football team. The Cowboys play complementary football and should be one of the last eight teams standing this season. While is has been a long time since Dallas won the NFC, they have the talent to beat anyone they come across this postseason. Of course, the only way they are winning a conference championship is if Prescott plays extremely well.
Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever. Friendly fire is only fun if your team wins.
